I was also really depressed at the time because at the time, I was working at Lowe's during the pandemic where around 90% of the customers were rude and short tempered. Not only that but I had to contend with my own anxiety/depression regarding the pandemic as well as dealing with school and my internship in a productive way. This piece contains those feelings channeled in from my own sadness. Yes, I was sad but there were still good things I had going in my life and there were still things to be hopeful for. This piece was also intended to be a project for my Typography class where you were supposed to create an art piece that reflected an art movement of your choice. My teacher suggested Pop Art and didn't shoot my idea down when I pitched it him. I don't know if it hit the mark but I did put my heart and soul into it and that's what matters to me. As an added bonus, I also hid the lyrics to "Memories of You" from Persona 3 like a huge nerd.
